Hotel Goldner Löwe in Stolpen

Very nice little hotel on the market square. Very spacious rooms, all lovingly furnished. Breakfast was served at the table. Friendly staff all very nice and accommodating.

Table reservation by phone was done without any problems. We were there for the first time today (September 26th). Price performance is mega. French fries a little too salty but hey, can happen, I'm from the gastro myself;), everything is fresh. Perhaps a little tip (no idea whether this is feasible in the very old building) would be some quiet music in the background, but it is not that tragic. Very courteous service (refills were asked immediately when the glass was empty, also super nice staff and a pleasant warm atmosphere. A small winter garden that was adapted to the historical building was also available, but also a few isolated corners if you want some peace and quiet. Unfortunately little visited due to Corona, which is a shame. We will definitely come back. But then with the pins that unfortunately didn't fit in anymore?❤️

Stolpen is a small town with a beautiful castle and is centrally located. From here you can reach many sights in about 30 - 45 minutes. The hotel has a special, rustic flair. The rooms were spacious, cozy and clean. Breakfast was served at the table due to Corona regulations. Nevertheless, it was plentiful and varied. The food in the restaurant was very good and the portions very large. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. One evening we arrived at the restaurant late after the kitchen had closed, but the boss still prepared a snack for us personally. I can only recommend the hotel. I have seldom seen everything so perfect.

The golden lion was our evening provision on our vacation. ?The food there was delicious. The service very friendly and courteous. We felt very comfortable. One evening, when it suddenly rained heavily, we were even driven back to our accommodation for free. Thank you very much again.

Great historic little hotel on the market square Very nice hotel right on the market square, nice staff, great large room with great and stylish furnishings. Great new bathroom. Everything is nicely done and renovated down to the smallest detail. Very worth seeing guest room. Made with a lot of understanding and respect for the historical.

The rooms were quite spacious and we were pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a bit dirty, but after a little tip it was done immediately. I really appreciate the efforts of the employees. Unfortunately the quality of the dinner left a lot to be desired. Quite a small selection and the quality was mediocre for a steep price. Breakfast was suitable for the Corona time. Unfortunately, you didn't really pay attention to the Corona rules. Mouth / nose protection was not worn at all with the exception of a few people. This is particularly worrying in the restaurant.

Top price / performance. Rooms are neat. Nice view of the market. Breakfast in corona times fully fine.

Very friendly staff, nice room and good food. Only the WiFi could be better. Otherwise everything was great!

There were 6 of us eating there yesterday. A trained chef and a trained service staff. The food was sufficient to poor, as was the service. Rather not to be mentioned except when we ordered a salad bowl with 4 reuberteller. The response from the service was "the cook doesn't go along with it, it will be a huge mess". That's the truth.
